About Our American Dream Team

We believe in the American Dream — the idea that through sacrifice and hard work, anyone can build something meaningful. For Colin Garrett, that dream took shape on the racetrack. As a driver in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Colin is building the first NASCAR team dedicated to causes that matter to the military community.

Meet Colin Garrett

Colin Garrett competes in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 26 Sam Hunt Racing RFH Tactical Mobility Toyota Supra. Racing runs deep for Colin, but so does family. He comes from a 2x Blue Star family — both of his older brothers are active duty in the U.S. Army. That connection to the military community fuels everything this team does.

Why We Race

Veteran suicide is an epidemic. Our team exists to connect veterans and military families with the free, life-saving services offered by two outstanding organizations: Racing For Heroes and The Rosie Network. We don't just put a logo on the car — we put these causes at the center of our mission.

"Our partnership with Colin and the Our American Dream Team is about reaching veterans where they are — at the track, in the stands, and watching at home — and letting them know help is available." — Mike Evock, Founder of Racing For Heroes (Retired Special Forces Chief Warrant Officer Three)

Racing For Heroes

Founded by retired Special Forces Chief Warrant Officer Three Mike Evock, Racing For Heroes provides free mental health and performance programs to veterans and first responders. Their approach uses motorsports as a therapeutic platform, helping those who served find purpose, community, and healing.

The Rosie Network

The Rosie Network empowers military spouses and veterans through entrepreneurship training and small-business support. By promoting their free services, we help military families build economic independence and stability.

Featured Recognition

Our team was featured in Military Families magazine in the September 2020 issue, highlighting the crowdfunded effort to bring this mission to NASCAR. Colin was also named Biggest Mover at Kansas, finishing P16 after starting P37 — a testament to the grit this team embodies.
